1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of information stored on your device by your browser. It can remember a preference, support a technical function or, when accepted, help measure audience or personalise content.
2. Your choice
On your first visit, the UBT banner lets you accept all optional cookies, refuse them or customise your choice. Strictly necessary cookies remain active because they are required for core website functions.
Your choice is stored for six months. You can change it at any time using “Manage cookies” in the website footer.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies remember your language, privacy choice and, where relevant, WordPress technical functions required for a session. They are not used for advertising.
| Cookie / data | Indicative duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| ubt_lang | 1 month | Remember the selected French or English language. |
| ubt_cookie_consent_v1 | 6 months | Remember your cookie preferences. |
| Technical WordPress cookies | Session or technical duration | Security, administration and technical functions where required. |
4. Audience measurement
No optional audience measurement tool is enabled by default by the UBT theme. If an analytics tool is added later, it must remain blocked until consent is obtained where required, and this policy must be updated.
5. Marketing cookies and external services
No optional marketing cookie is enabled by default by the UBT theme. Future external services that may place such cookies must follow the stored cookie preference before loading where consent is required.
6. Change or withdraw consent
You can reopen the preferences panel at any time from the footer. Refusing optional categories does not prevent access to essential website content.
You can also remove cookies from your browser settings. The website may then ask for your preferences again on a future visit.
7. Contact
For questions about cookies or personal data, contact Universal Business & Tour Sarl through the website Contact form.
